Backup Manager integrates with NinjaOne, Veeam Backup and Replication, and Microsoft Azure Backup. All three platforms are monitored through a single dashboard, with job status, failure rates, and retention compliance data normalised into a common view regardless of which backup technology your environment uses.

Backup Manager monitors backup job completion in near real time via API polling. When a job transitions to a failed or warning state, an alert is generated immediately through the Hakware Event Manager — allowing your operations team to investigate and re-run the backup before the recovery point objective (RPO) window is breached.

For each monitored backup target, Backup Manager checks that the configured retention policy matches your defined requirements — verifying that recovery points exist at the expected intervals (daily, weekly, monthly) and that old recovery points are being pruned as expected. Deviations from the policy generate alerts for remediation.

ISO 27001 Annex A.8.13 requires backup procedures and regular testing of backup integrity. Ransomware recovery depends entirely on backup recoverability. Backup Manager provides continuous evidence that backups are running, completing successfully, and meeting retention requirements — the documented monitoring that both auditors and incident response teams require.
