AI Governance

AI WatchNew

A lightweight Windows agent that monitors which AI tools are being used across your enrolled workstations — tracking applications, session duration, frequency, and interaction counts — without ever capturing prompts, responses, or screenshots. Full visibility, zero privacy compromise.

AI Watch

Workstation AI tool usage monitoring and governance

What it does

Key capabilities

Workstation Fleet Monitoring

Enrol Windows workstations with a per-customer MSI — each device reports AI tool activity back to your Hakware tenant automatically.

35-Signature Detection Library

Detects 35 AI tools across Chat, Coding Assistant, Image Generation, Local LLM, and Cloud API categories — from ChatGPT and Claude to Ollama and Cursor.

Privacy-First Design

AI Watch captures metadata only — tool name, session duration, interaction count. Prompts, responses, and screen content are never recorded or transmitted.

Usage Dashboards

Fleet-wide rollup dashboards showing active workstations, total AI sessions, cumulative usage hours, and tool-by-tool breakdowns across configurable time windows.

Enrollment Key Management

Issue and rotate per-customer enrollment GUIDs baked into each MSI — with a 14-day grace window on rotation so workstations transition without dropping offline.

Workstation Controls

Revoke individual workstations from the fleet with a single click — enrolled devices stop reporting immediately when disabled.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

AI Watch deploys as a Windows service via a per-customer MSI installer. Once installed, it monitors process creation and network activity to detect the 35-signature library of known AI tools — matching application names, process signatures, and network destinations associated with ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Cursor, Ollama, and 30 other tools — without capturing any screen content.

AI Watch captures only: which AI tool was used, when the session started and ended, and how many interactions occurred. It never records screen content, clipboard data, file contents, or the actual prompts and responses exchanged with AI tools. Users can see their own usage summary; the organisation sees fleet-level statistics by tool and workstation.

The library covers five categories: Chat AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot), Coding Assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Tabnine, Codeium), Image Generation tools (Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion interfaces), Local LLM tools (Ollama, LM Studio, GPT4All), and Cloud API clients accessing AI provider endpoints directly.

Each customer receives a unique enrollment GUID baked into their MSI build. When a workstation installs the MSI and connects, it registers using that GUID. If a GUID is compromised or rotated, AI Watch supports a 14-day grace window during which both the old and new GUIDs are accepted — preventing workstations from dropping offline during a key rotation.
